DSPC (C18:0 PC) is a phospholipid commonly found in biological membranes and employed in biomimetic bilayers for scientific research. It is also used as a helper lipid in lipid nanoparticle formulations for the delivery of therapeutics. Critically, it represents a significant portion of lipid nanoparticle formulations for several FDA approved vaccines.
